Orphanage in Magnitogorsk

USSR. Chelyabinsk Region. Magnitogorsk. Mary Starge, a teacher from the United States of America, who arrived as part of the "Handshake Across the Ocean" program, with a child from one of the city's orphanages. The "Handshake Across the Ocean" program, developed by the New Jersey State Pedagogical Institute, includes work in educational institutions, the opening of a Soviet-American university, and meetings with cultural figures.
