Production association "Izhora plant" named after A.A. Zhdanov in Leningrad

September 4-5, 1977. USSR. Leningrad. Leading designer of the Ulyanovsk Plant of Heavy and Unique Machine Tools V.I. Bazykin (foreground) adjusting the largest longitudinal milling machine 66-50 in one of the shops of the production association "Izhora Plant" named after A.A. Zhdanov. The machine, delivered to the plant using 24 specially prepared railway platforms, is capable of processing workpieces weighing up to 300 tons and has a work table with an area of 80 square meters, on which parts for excavators manufactured at the plant will be processed.
