Bolshoi Theatre soloist Vladimir Viktorovich Vasiliev (Albert) in Adolphe Adam's ballet Giselle, staged by Leonid Mikhailovich Lavrovsky at the Bolshoi Theatre of the USSR. The Paris Dance Academy awarded V.V. Vasiliev the annual Vaslav Nijinsky Prize for "Best Dancer in the World" after his performance on the stage of the Sarah Bernhardt Theatre.
