Olga Karat, an engineer at the Department of Chemistry and High-Pressure Physics of the Chemistry Faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, during a demonstration of the advantages of storing hydrogen absorbed by metal powders (a small cylinder) compared to hydrogen in a cylinder under pressure. Specialists from Moscow State University and the Institute of New Chemical Problems of the USSR Academy of Sciences, together with industry enterprises, have developed a pilot industrial technology for metal alloys - hydrogen absorbers, when the alloys turn into finely dispersed powders when absorbing gas.
