Construction of the Leningrad-Murmansk highway

August 1-10, 1976. USSR. Murmansk Region. Road junction of the new section of the Leningrad-Murmansk highway under construction, which opened direct traffic from Segezha to Murmansk, not far from Kandalaksha. At the 935th kilometer from Leningrad, the two parts of the road were connected: on the Murmansk side, the asphalt surface was laid by Construction Department No. 908, on the southern side by Construction Department No. 880.
