Oncologist and biochemist A. Lokshin

American oncologist and biochemist Arnold Lokshin, who received political asylum in the USSR and the position of head of the laboratory at the Institute of Experimental Diagnostics and Therapy of Tumors of the All-Union Oncology Research Center of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, in a subway car on the Gorkovsko-Zamoskvoretskaya Line of the V. I. Lenin Moscow Metro on his way to work. Arnold Lokshin, who headed a laboratory in Houston, Texas, asked for political asylum in the USSR for himself and his family in September 1986.
