Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Exclusion Zone in Kyiv Oblast
September - October 1990. USSR. Ukrainian SSR. Kiev region. A well in the demolished village of Chistogalovka in the thirty-kilometer exclusion zone due to the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant named after V. I. Lenin. On April 26, 1986, an explosion occurred in the fourth power unit of the NPP during equipment testing during the reactor shutdown for routine preventive maintenance.
