During the operation of the section of the Lesnaya - Ploshchad Muzhestva connecting tunnel from December 31, 1975 to February 1995, about 60 cubic meters of water per day entered the tunnels through the drainage, the tunnel settlement remained at the level of 5-25 millimeters per year, which required waterproofing work, strengthening the rail bed, and eliminating cracks in the tunnel.
