Reconstruction of the Luzhnetsky metro bridge in Moscow

Russia. Moscow. The two-tier Luzhnetsky metro bridge across the Moskva River and the Vorobyovy Gory station of the Sokolnicheskaya Line of the Moscow Metro during reconstruction. By the early 1980s, the 1959 metro bridge and the station were in a pre-emergency condition due to design errors, waterproofing defects, and the use of salt in concrete work. Viktor Velikzhanin/TASS
