The building of the former Smolny Institute for Noble Maidens, which since 1918 has been occupied by the Leningrad City Council of Workers' Deputies and the City Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. In 1927, in honor of the tenth anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, a memorial exhibition was created in the rooms where Lenin lived in 1917-1918.
