April 1-6, 1994. Russia. Amur Region. Tynda. Lada cars produced by the Russian company AvtoVAZ, provided by the Kuibyshev Railway as payment for the delivery of goods along the Baikal-Amur Mainline. The Kuibyshev Railway was forced to pay BAM with cars instead of money due to the fact that the Central Bank began to limit the amount of money in circulation due to inflation during the economic crisis in Russia.
