Liquidation of consequences of accident after freight train crash in Yaroslavl

USSR. Yaroslavl. Burning contaminated soil and snow as part of the cleanup efforts following the crash of freight train M-2502 near the railway bridge across the Volga on the Privolzhye-Filino section of the Northern Railway in the city's Leninsky District. As a result of the accident, seven carriages derailed, including three tank cars with heptyl, a toxic substance that is a component of rocket fuel, about 740 litres of which spilled onto the road.
