Rehabilitation after leg replantation R. Prascevichute in Moscow

Nine-year-old Rasa Prascevichute from the Vadaktai collective farm in the Vilkaviskis district of the Lithuanian SSR, who underwent foot replantation on June 18, 1983, in the apartment of a pensioner, a cloakroom attendant at City Clinical Hospital No. 51, Ekaterina Dmitrievna Volcheva, who took Rasa in while she was preparing for an operation to lengthen her right leg. Because of the surgical scar, as Rasa grew older, her right leg became four centimeters shorter than her left, and her attending physician, surgeon Ramaz Otarovich Datiashvili of City Clinical Hospital No. 51, was preparing to operate on her at the Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics.
