American composer, pianist and conductor Leonard Bernstein, who arrived with the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra to perform the First Symphony by composer Dmitry Dmitrievich Shostakovich and three fragments from the dramatic symphony Romeo and Juliet by French composer Hector Berlioz, at the Leningrad State Academic Capella named after M.
