Reconstruction of the Luzhnetsky metro bridge in Moscow

USSR. Moscow. Temporary side beam single-track span, intended for the movement of electric trains on the Kirovsko-Frunzenskaya Line of the Moscow Metro named after V. I. Lenin during the reconstruction of the two-tier Luzhnetsky metro bridge across the Moskva River and the Leninskiye Gory metro station. By the early 1980s, the 1959 metro bridge and the station were in a pre-emergency condition due to design errors, waterproofing defects, and the use of salt in concrete work. Vitaly Sozinov/TASS
