Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Exclusion Zone in Kyiv Oblast

I. Lenin Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. On April 26, 1986, an explosion occurred at the fourth power unit of the NPP during equipment testing during the reactor shutdown for routine preventive maintenance.
