Honored Scientist, Director of the Moscow Research Institute of Ear, Throat and Nose, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Dmitry Ivanovich Tarasov, Researcher of the Research Institute, leading surgeon V. G. Gorokhov and patient, Moscow resident L. Tyurina (from left to right) during an operation using the method of ultrasonic disintegration of the inferior nasal turbinates in the treatment of chronic rhinitis. Scientists from the Moscow Research Institute of Ear, Throat and Nose, together with specialists from the Rostov Regional Clinical Hospital, have developed and successfully applied a simple, cheap and effective method of treating chronic rhinitis using ultrasound, which can be used in outpatient settings. The 15-second operation is performed in a gentle mode and does not cause any disruption to the functions of the nose. The exact date of the shooting has not been established. Robert Netelev/TASS
