Propaganda posters "TASS Windows"

"TASS Windows" is a series of posters of the Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union, published in large cities of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War. They were intended to raise the fighting spirit of soldiers, and to strengthen the people's faith in the inevitability of victory over the enemy in bright and simple images. The best cartoonists and writers of the country worked on the drawings. In Leningrad, during the winter of the siege, the posters were drawn by artists Viktor Slyshchenko and Moisei Vakser, who were dying of hunger and malnutrition. The baton was then taken up by artist Vasily Selivanov, who single-handedly made posters in the besieged city from the spring of 1942 to the spring of 1943.
