Press conference on the results of the investigation into the accident in the Moscow metro on June 9, 2003

Russia. Moscow. Instrumental testing of new wheel sets demonstrated during a press conference at the Cherkizovo depot following the investigation into the causes of the accident in the tunnel on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. On June 9, 2003, a wheel set of one of the cars of a derailed electric train cut about 200 linear meters of power cable. As a result of the accident, train traffic between the Avtozavodskaya and Belorusskaya stations was stopped; passengers on the emergency train were not injured and were evacuated to the nearest station.
