Annotation:
September 17 - 160th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian scientist Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky. He is called the founder of theoretical cosmonautics. Tsiolkovsky was one of the first to scientifically substantiate the use of multistage rockets, calling them "rocket trains", developed the idea of an artificial Earth satellite, and proposed methods for constructing habitable orbital stations. In 1916, Tsiolkovsky finished the science fiction adventure story "Beyond the Earth", several chapters of which he wrote back in 1896.

The action of Tsiolkovsky's novella "Beyond the Earth" takes place in 2017. Cosmonauts and designers of space technology reread the book and confirm the scientist's clear and accurate foresight about the development of cosmonautics 100 years ago.
The text is illustrated with relevant footage chronicling the daily life of astronauts on the ISS and their work in outer space.
An excerpt from the book "Mirages of the Future" was also read.
