In August 1985, the candidate for the post of KGB resident in London, Oleg Gordievsky, disappeared in Moscow.

At that time, he was already suspected of having links with British intelligence, and surveillance was established.

Gordievsky takes a desperate step and provokes a cunning operation, disappearing amidst a white day in Moscow and two days later appearing in the UK.

This operation even in the KGB is recognized as brilliant.

As it was - it turns out during the program.

The program includes former employees of the First Main Directorate of the KGB of the USSR Boris Grigoriev and Oleg Tsarev, a relative of OA Gordievsky Ekaterina Aliyeva and a family friend, journalist Olga Belan.

The details of Gordievsky's service in the KGB and his personal life, motives that led him to commit treason, and the consequences of this step for the Soviet intelligence services are considered.

There are footage of the chronicle: the arrest of a CIA officer Aldridge Ames and his wife in Washington, the introduction of Soviet troops into Czechoslovakia, the Moscow putsch, the story of Oleg Gordievsky about the crossing of the Finnish border.
