November 25, 2001 at the Bolshoi Theater a solemn evening was held dedicated to the 60th birthday of Mikhail Lavrovsky, a famous dancer and an amazing person.

The hall was packed, in the program there were three ballets staged by the jubilee.

He himself came on stage and sangidily performed from the ballet "Don Quixote".

Mikhail Lavrovsky belongs to a pleiad of stars of the Soviet ballet, brought up by Alexei Ermolaev and Yuri Grigorovich, known throughout the world and glorified Russian ballet art on all continents.

In this issue, the program's presenter Vitaliy Vulf tells the story of his longtime friend ML Lavrovsky, beginning with his childhood and relationships with his parents, famous ballet dancers Leonid Lavrovsky and Elena Chikvaidze, and ending with the jubilee, working in their own ballet school and further creative plans.

The program uses documentary materials from the life of the Bolshoi Theater, fragments of records of rehearsals and excerpts of ballet performances with Mikhail Lavrovsky's Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Leili and Majnun, Spartak, and Nizhinsky.
