Our report: In January, small arms enthusiasts from all over the world come to Las Vegas for the "Shot show" exhibition.

Mark Westrom and Jimmy Stavrakis, the heads of weapons companies, spoke about the features of the weapons presented at this year's exhibition.

The main passions flared up around the army assault rifles: the outdated AR-15 (M-16) was replaced by a new Atkor rifle, which is actually an updated version of the former AR-15 with a gas engine, like a modern Kalashnikov assault rifle.

For many years, it was a matter of dispute, which is better-the reliability of the Kalashnikov or the ergonomics and accuracy of the M-16, and only now, in the second decade of the XX century, it was possible to resolve this contradiction.

For many years, our gunsmiths were not at this exhibition, no one expected anything new from the Russians for a long time, but the Arsenal company presented two new items: a double-barreled colt .45 caliber and a Strizh pistol (in the export version of the Strike) made an indelible impression on the Americans; comments of the company's head Dmitry Streshinsky.

Our report: The military personnel who were called up in the fall of 2012 have now completed a general training course and started training in military specialties.

In the Vyborg branch of the ZVO District Training Center, young sailors learn the basics of naval sciences.

Today, this center is the only one in the country that trains radiometrists and radio operators for all the fleets of Russia.

Every six months, it produces more than 800 signalmen and specialists in radio support equipment for the Navy.

The head of the communications cycle Nikolay Lastochkin, the head of the radio engineering armament cycle Kirill Kotlyarov, and the head of the branch Dmitry Korovin talk about the training of young sailors.

Alexander Alekaev, the founder of the Return Foundation and the head of the White Warriors project, is a guest of the program.

The conversation is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of Russian General Vladimir Oskarovich Kappel.

In the preparation of the material, excerpts of the film "Chapaev" (1934, directed by G. N. Vasiliev, S. D. Vasiliev), footage of the chronicle of the beginning of the XX century and materials of the 2006 expedition to find the burial of V. O. Kappel in China and return his remains to his homeland were used.

In January 2007, the reburial took place in the Donskoy Monastery in Moscow, and on September 1, a monument was erected on the grave of the general, an exact copy of the one destroyed in Harbin.
