Our report: celebration of the birthday of the Airborne Forces in Voronezh.

On August 2, 1930, near Voronezh, during the pilot exercises of the air force of the Moscow Military District, a historic event occurred: for the first time in Russian history, a specially trained combat group was landed, this training operation opened up wide prospects for a new, unique kind of troops, which is why August 2 is considered the birthday of the Airborne Forces.

At the site of the first jump of the paratroopers, a stone was laid in the foundation of the future memorial complex.

In July, in the Pskov region, at the training ground of the 76th Airborne Division, competitions were held for the championship of the best reconnaissance platoon.
